Play time with Monty

Our boy Monty is quite a rough-housing pup. There is nothing he likes more than a little "rumpling"* with Mom. It doesn't matter what the game is, Monty is ready to give it his all!

Tennis balls are some of his favorite toys, right up there with anything with squeakers, soda bottles, and sun light.

I just stole this from Sam!

Tug-of-war is also one of his favorites. We are very mindful of his teeth (we don't want to pull them out!), but he does like to wrestle for his toys. We just found these road-kill squirrels in Wal-Mart. No stuffing and with squeakers on each end.

My squirrel!

Monty has also learned that making "eyes" sometimes wins him the toy!

She always falls for this face!

...and where is Sam during play time? Having a rather relaxing snooze!

*rumpling (v) - the act of getting on the ground, making as much noise as possible, and tickling every spot that makes a pup wriggle around like crazy. May involve mock chewing, paws in inappropriate spots, and zoomies.

  28. OOOH! The road kill toys!! Mommy won't buy those -- she says it's just wrong. lol

She did try the other flat non-stuffy toys, but she had to return them 'cause the fur was comin' out too much.

But I LOVE tennis balls too!! (until I start chewing the fuzz off them). That's when mommy gives me my rubber ball to play with. ;)

    Woofs & hugs,

    ~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)

  31. My golden boy Monty does the same eyes, and soda/water bottles cannot be left in the recycle bin for him to view, as for the road-kill toys, shredded within 5 minutes.....but all in good fun!

  35. My Hu-Dad and I play 'rumpling' games every nite before bedtime - until hu-Mumma yells at us and says we are too noisy. She finks we should be getting all peaceful for sleepings. Hu-Dad and me fink we should be wearing off some more energys so that we can do sleepings after that. :)
