Boring, boring, boring...

Okay, it's too hot here.  The boys haven't been out and they are bored to death.  Also, it makes for boring blog posts.  Whine, whine, whine...

Sam spends all day snoozing....
zzzzzz.....
Monty has played twice with every toy he owns and has nothing left to do but suck on his pillow....
This was about twenty minutes before he decided it looked better inside out...
Any suggestions?

  2. Sam & Monty, Bella wanted me to write this message to you. Bella says summer is the BEST time of the year. The mommy and kids are home and are not wasting their time teaching or going to school; so they can play with us ALL DAY LONG! Also, the pool is a lot of fun, especially if it is filled with tennis balls, kongs, or squirt guns (I love biting at the stream of water when the human kids spray them). Have your human hold an ice cream cone for you to lick while you are standing on the steps in your pool). So Sam, stop napping, grab a vanilla ice cream cone, and bark for your human to open the pool fence.

  4. Dear Sam,

I hear your leg's a bit crook from skipping. Just as well you're zzzzzzzzz-ing then. It's all I'm allowed to do as well these days.

Oh. The Typist says if you can't stand the heat, please mail some here ASAP. Express courier if possible. We would all be most grateful.

Have a great day! Monty too! X

  8. We're in for two weeks of blistering hot weather here! We do much the same (except for tearing up beds)...walks very early in the morning and late afternoon. We keep the house relatively cool, telling ourselves it is best for the dogs!

  12. 1. Get a bunch of boxes that will nest inside each other. Put a good smelly treat in the smallest one, tape it closed. Put it inside another box, tape closed. etc. etc. etc. Then give it to the dogs.

    2. Play training games. Name the toys and have them get them. Learn some new circus tricks. Try doing some nose work. Play hide-and-seek in the house with people or treats.

    3. Freeze toys and treats in a big block of ice and give it to them.
