Busy, busy, busy...

We've had a couple of busy weeks again - I'm traveling for work more often and getting opportunities to visit some of my favorite National Parks!

I had the honor of being able to attend a couple of significant events at the parks I work for.  First off, a ribbon cutting ceremony at Tumacacori National Historical Park to celebrate the completion of their new ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) trail.  This trail will allow all visitors to now visit the church, the lime kiln and the historic orchard with ease.
All together now....  Snip!
Pictures will never do this beautiful park justice.  If you are ever traveling through southeastern Arizona, make sure to leave time to stop by.  You will truly be amazed!

Our next event was at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument to attend the opening of their new rammed-earth constructed theater and the unveiling of the documentary video of the early people of Casa Grande.  They did an awesome job with both!

Our boys are waiting for our next big adventure.  How are we going to top "Bark in the Park"?  We still haven't figured it out yet - temperature here in AZ are soaring over 110 and our outdoor activities are limited.

Sam's thinking these paws will never be used again!
Monty and Sam waiting for us to do something, anything...
Monty did de-floof his bed, which is evident by the acres of green cotton that never seem to end.  I'm not kidding, I've picked up three garbage bags of this stuff and every time I turn around there is more!
I've been framed!  Probably by Sam...

  1. Nice job on that defluffing! Three bags is most impressive! Very nice parks too, but best to stay on top of the AC vent until it goes back down into the 90s!

  2. Way to go, Monty! You are a pooch after Sophie's heart. Together, the two of you could conquer the stuffings of the world --- and never get caught.

  8. Bark in the Park sounds great but so does de-stuffing. Hope you figure out the next adventure soon. But staying inside in 110 heat might be nice.

  11. Monty, how could you? Perhaps you are bored because of the heat. Or maybe you were just curious to find out just how much stuffing is inside. (The answer is 3 garbage bags full.) I suppose you expect Sam to give you the other bed.

  15. That reminds me too much of Dusty with the un stuffing of beds. Wherever you look, there is always a sneeky piece of white fluff hiding!

  20. Never never de-floof your own bed. But a cold hard floor is much better than being outside in the heat. Keep cool!
