Our first week!

If you are following us on Facebook, you will know that Harlow and I made it safely to Grand Teton National Park.  We are settled into a little apartment on Colter Bay, and I think our first week here has been a success.

The drive up was beautiful.  Open land, ranches, mountains - I think it was as scenic as this park is!
That's a big bull!

This area was just outside of Wyoming - just beautiful!

Exploring with the Princess.
Our first night here we were handed a can of bear spray with the warning "don't walk without it!".  Despite our worries, Harlow and I have logged in nearly 20 miles of walking and exploring.  We both keep a sharp eye out for any thing that might want to eat a Princess and her da Momma.

We've also spent some time exploring our little community of Colter Bay, as well as the neighboring Jackson Lodge area - we came across this gem!
Does dis come in princess pink, da Momma?
Harlow has also spent some time establishing the northern post of the Turtle Defense Squad.  This one is called the Northern Squirrel Defense League.  She has been diligently keeping an eye out for invading squirrels.
Dey are out dere, da Momma.
I'm hoping to do some more exploring this weekend, as well as a visit to neighboring Bridger-Teton National Forest.  It should be fun!

  2. Very cool, very cool indeed. Goose and I did our share of exploring the Tetons. It is just amazing. Never ran into a bear (that we know of) but a wolf or two, OK maybe it was three. One of the best things ever.
You two are going to have the time of your life.
    Blessings,
    Michelle

  4. You gotta look out for those mad squirrels.....and bears. Are you sure the bears understand about that bear repellant? And we don't trust the fence the bull is behind. So be very careful!

  7. Wow, wonderful! It does take getting used to living with grizzlies and wolves, doesn't it?

Perhaps Harlow could also start a bear defense squad!

We visited that National Forest when we were in the area, since dogs had more rights there than in a park. It was nice. Have fun!

  12. You are so VERY fortunately to live out there with all that open land. Mom and Dad have to live in the city where Dad can be close to work,
