Monty Monday - Oops!

Hey Monty, why are you hiding under there?
You didn’t see?
See what?
The couch. You were gone, and I was here alone, and the thunder and lightning and wind and tree branches hitting the house and I…I guess I panicked.
Well Monty.  It’s not the first time this has happened, is it? But that time everything came out all right, didn’t it? So don’t worry about it, we’ll fix this one the same way.
You mean it, It’s OK? And I get to come with you anyway?
Thanks Dad.

Sam is helping out...

Hi dere. Sam here. Sam taking over his blog. Again. His blog, after all.

If I don't post, who will?

Sam decide since Mom feeling out of sorts from head test, Sam help in house. Sam good boy after all. Sam not mention that he still help out, even after he got bath yesterday!

Sam not even dirty! He swear!

Sam decide to vacuum, although Sam think little brother Monty should vacuum. It's his hair rolling down hallway!

I have a Dyson, and I know how to use it!

Sam had hard time with laundry. No luck folding, Sam all paws.

Hope Dad doesn't mind wrinkles in his shorts!

This too much work for one pup!

When will it ever end?

We are thinking of all our friends on the East Coast! We are hoping Irene passed you all by!

2011 PetSmart Charities Petwalk

Monty and I had a wonderful time at the PetSmart Charities PetWalk held yesterday. We participated in the 5K walk and enjoyed seeing so many different breeds!

There was so much to see and do!

The dark clouds are starting to roll in...

Monty behaved himself so well! Here he is before the walk taking in all the sights!

I really enjoy seeing all the dogs!

...and Monty marching on like a trooper!

This was the last photo I was able to take before the downpour started! By the time we got back to the park, and then the car, Monty and I were thoroughly soaked!

Despite the rain, we had a great time! Monty smiled through the whole event - I would definitely say he is looking forward to next year!

Weekend Update

Sam here. Sam give update on weekend. Sam's Mom too busy to do it herself this weekend, so Sam do it.

Hi, dere!

First off, this weekend was Lost Dutchman Days in Apache Junction. Mom rode her big black mare, Isabel, in the parade.

Sam was not invited along. Mom and Aaron were afraid there would be too much commotion, and they were right. There were so many people and horses and dogs...

For instance, the Budweiser Clydesdale's made an appearance!

Aaron took this picture of the Budweiser dog. Sam thinking of applying for this position... What do you think?

It started raining after the parade, and the rain continued all through Sunday. This meant we couldn't go and enjoy the rest of the events. However, Mom and Aaron kept busy. First of all, they drew and colored this neat design on Dad's prosthetic leg. This design is inspired by ancient Greek red-figure pottery.

This is the whole leg. Mom and Dad decided to put the whole family on the leg.

Here is a close-up of Mom...

...and Dad...

...and of course, me, Sam!

Mom took Monday off due to being sick from her headache medicine. Aaron and her made Sam a fresh batch of yams. Which Sam likes very much. So much so, that Mom calls her Sam - Sammy Yammy.

Sam likes his new name!

All in all, it was a good weekend despite the rain and headache! We hope all of you had a wonderful weekend too!

Rainy Day

It is a very rainy day outside, again. Isn’t this supposed to be sunny Arizona?

Next weekend I am riding in the Lost Dutchman Day’s Parade with my sister. This weekend I had planned on getting my Friesian mare, Isabel, prepared for it. Other than a short ride on Friday, I haven’t been able to! Hopefully, I will be able to clean her up before next Saturday!

Sam came with me this morning to survey the mud and rain at my Mom’s house and help feed the horses. Of course, as always, he rode shotgun.

Hey you! Look at me! Yes, you, buddy!

Sam did quite a bit exploring at my Mom's house. He didn't mind getting rained on.

What's that you see there, Sam? Oh, the cats. It looks like they may need an umbrella!

Sam decided that he had better keep an eye on them! You never know what cats will do!

Don't get too close to them, Mom!

Sam was thoroughly soaked by the time we finished feeding horses.

I think I might need a towel, Mom!

Since it is a bit chilly outside (61 degrees!), Sam has decided that the best thing to do when we got home was to cuddle up and work on crossword puzzles.

Does anyone know a three-letter word meaning "disencumber"?

Sam also wants to catch up on his reading!

Excuse me, Mom? Have you seen the new "Chet the Dog" book?

We would also like to thank Olive for this pawsome award! Thank you, Olive!
