This is why we don't have visitors on bath day!

Dog Days of Summer #12 - Hot Dog

Oh, we have plenty of hot dogs in Arizona!  BOL!

I hate to wake the little guy - he's been so happy all weekend that I've been home.  I think he has worn himself out...

Zzzzzzzz.....

...but honestly, he really does need a bath! 

Day at the spa....

We have a big day planned tomorrow - we are taking the boys to the 2nd Annual Bark in the Park event at Chase Field to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks play!  Who are they playing?  I'll admit - I have no idea! 

The boys are resting up for the big event!  They have been washed, brushed, trimmed and powdered and are looking rather handsome.  Sam is hoping to sign a deal to be a team mascot and Monty is hoping to steal a base or two (he wants to add them to his toy box!).

Okay, I checked - the AZ Diamondbacks are playing the Milwaukee Brewers!

Wait a minute!

Hey, wait a minute! According to dis, Sam only supposed to be washed once every six to eight weeks. Sam washed every other weekend. This isn't right! Who do I complain to?

Bathday, again...

The boys had a bath on Sunday before I left. Sam, of course, has been working on some new tricks to avoid taking the dreaded bath.

His first new trick is his patented "Chameleon" maneuver. Here he is attempting to make himself blend into the couch. It almost worked - I told him next time try not to wear a leash.

Not to be discouraged, he moved right into the "Hide Behind the Pillow" maneuver.


This might have worked, except Monty decided to help give Sam a bath.

Our Weekend

We didn't have any plans this weekend, other than the boys were in desperate need of baths and a good grooming session. Of course, Sam wasn't at all happy to hear this, but just look at him! He really did need a bath! ...and just look at those paws!

I like paw hair...


Monty took his bath with no complaints...

I'm cute!


Sam resigned himself to his fate and allowed himself to be groomed - I think he's ready for his close-up!

Bath Day

As all of you know, due to issues with his hair, our boy Sam was scheduled for a bath. It seemed the only way to return him to his former handsome self! Of course, if Sam is getting a bath, Monty is also getting a bath. Monty, for once, was not pleased with the news. The baths were scheduled during his mid-day nap!

A bath now? I'm trying to sleep!


After much grooming, brushing, clipping and fluffing, the boys are ready to make their grand re-appearance in public. Now, for you girls out there we warn you - our furry heart throbs may be too much to handle. Please scroll slowly!

Here is Monty. Notice the warm brown eyes, the strong jawline (please disregard the drool!), and the slight curl to his auburn locks. He's a sweety!


Next up we have Sam. His Fabio-like locks have been restored to their full glory. We are sorry, girls, but Sam has given his heart to his girl, Maya, and isn't available.


We also found out that Sam's cousin, Cody, also had to endure a bath yesterday. We love his expression in this picture!

Sam woke up with a problem this morning. His hair seems a bit, well, unmanageable.

Saturday is Bath Day

Today is bath day at our house. While Monty was overjoyed by this news, Sam was a little less enthusiastic. In fact, I haven't seen Sam for a while. I wonder where he is?

I'd better start searching. One thing I noticed is that our house is full of strange dogs. Maybe they've seen Sam?

Look at this strange fellow... I wonder if he is in the Witness Protection Program?

Sam? I don't know who you are talking about!


I thought about asking this guy, but he is tough looking! I had better move along...
