Heading Back to Arizona - with special guest blogger, Harlow!

Dear Da Nice Readers of dis Blog,

As you read dis, da Momma and da Princess is in da car heading back to da Arizona.  We has enjoyed our stay in da Wyoming, but as da Momma says, all good dings must end.

We has had many adventures in da park, and seen many wild life, including da squirrels, da big buffaloes, and da moose.  Da Momma says da Harlow is not wildlife.  Much happy to hear dis.

We also enjoyed spending time near da water.  Not much of dat in da Arizona.

We is hoping to return some day, with da Monty and da Dad.  Da Harlow is hoping all her new friends will be dere.

Dis has been good fourteen months for da Harlow, even doe da Momma says it is only two months.  Da people calendar is never right.  Da Harlow's only regret is dat she never caught da squirrel.
Hi up dere, squirrel.  Come down and talk to da Harlow?

Love,

Da Princess Harlow

A day at the fair....

Our normal Monty Monday post has been replaced today with a recap of our weekend at the Grand Teton County Fair.  Monty Monday will return next week!  :)

Saturday morning the fair hosted an agility event and I decided to take Harlow along.  It has been two months since we practiced and I felt she needed a break from squirrel hunting challenge.

Of course, I was easily distracted the moment we got there - the horse show was going on.

We knew we weren't in Arizona anymore the second we got to the ring - right outside of the exit gate was the cattle washing station for the petting zoo....
Mooooo....
Thankfully the course was easy, a long S pattern, but I made sure to study it carefully.  So did Harlow.
After da tunnel is a sharp right.  I got dis, da Momma.
Unfortunately, I have no photos of Harlow doing her courses.  Let's just say the first one she decided a freestyle pattern was the optimal way to go.  Our second time through she did just fine!  We only messed up because I missed the last jump - a skinny little thing that blended in with the cattle washing pens.
How could you, da Momma?
Since this wasn't an actual trial, they only gave ribbons for clear rounds and participation.  I'm still pretty proud of our participation ribbon.  We can now say we performed at a county fair!
Of course, to Harlow?  The day was perfect - zoomies and lots of loving from strangers!
I iz awesome!

Tiny Puppy Blues

Those of you who have met Harlow might have noticed that she isn't a fully size Golden.  In fact, she's kind of pocket sized.  Most of the times this doesn't bother her, until she tries to get over obstacles in the forest...
Something not right here, da Momma.

I iz going to need a boost!

Of course, she wouldn't be having these problems if someone hadn't forgotten a step stool for her....

Monty Monday - Will the work never end?

Poor Monty - he was just resting after his last busy day of reviewing products, when yet another box showed up!  He didn't complain though - this was quite the goody box!  Chewy.com had sent us a sampling of their new American Journey product line!

Chewy.com Product Review - I and Love and You Free Ranger Stix Dog Treats

Once again, Monty is finding himself put to work to do another solo chewy.com review.  We don't think he minded at all this month - as we were given a sample I and Love and You Free Ranger Stix Dog Treats for him to try.

I think the pictures say more than we ever could!  Did Monty love these treats?  YES!

I'll admit - the description for this product on chewy.com made me chuckle:

"Free Ranger Bully Stix come from free range Brazilian cattle (Heyyy, São Paulo!) that are grass fed and raised without the use of antibiotics or added hormones. When we say they’re addictive, we promise we’re not exaggerating.  Dogs love Free Ranger Bully Stix like moms love clean houses.  Like teenagers love angst-y vampire movies.  Like Prince loves velvet.  They’re great for treats, as an everyday snack, or whenever you need your dog to do something other than drool on your couch for twenty minutes at a clip."

Monty definitely agreed with them!

I also like that the product promises:

  • No antibiotics or added hormones
  • Alternative to rawhide
  • Supports joint health
  • Easy to digest
  • Supports dental health
I'm hoping Aaron will leave one Stix for a certain globe-trotting Princess, but I imagine they will soon be gone!  :)

The Legend of Sleepy Harlow

With all the walking Harlow and I do, when it's time for her to nap, she naps hard.  ...and cute.  Seriously...
I call this "Muddy Puppy Snoozing"...

Nobody puts baby in the corner....  Well, except the baby.

Look at that face!

...and this one!

...and then I find her nose to nose a stuffy....

...and occasionally she catches me taking pictures....
You making fun of me, da Momma?
Never!

Memories on Monty Monday

Monty and Aaron didn't have a  chance to get out and have any adventures this past weekend - mainly due to Aaron wanting to keep the weekend very low key for Monty.  Monty has a huge fear of fireworks, and we spend a lot of time planning on how to keep him relaxed and happy.

I thought I would post a few vintage photos of our handsome boy.  Enjoy!

Happy Monday!
