I knew Johnson. We served together in Co. E., 96th Reg., OVI from the 5th day of August 1863 for a period of Three years. He was Honorably Discharged the 7th day of July 1865 in Mobile, Alabama due to the end of hostilities. Johnson and I both survived the siege of Vicksburg. However, It was sleeping on the damp ground during the Mississippi bivouac that caused Johnson to meet his fate.
'Twasn't the 'Floof'.
'Floof' is a much more insidious enemy than mere convenional warfare.
The 'floof' has been found hiding under my fridge, cowering in the corner of my closets and, now and then, brazenly underfoot as I do laundry. Admittedly, near the dryer seldom; stalking my faithful Maytag washing machine.
Occasionally, Johnson deigns to visit and recall good and bad times. Usually around Christmas Eve. Three times a night he interrupts my gracious slumber.
There are times, I wish the 'floof' had swallowed his sorry green plastic butt...
Holy Moly - our floofs invade all hours of the day and night. Sometimes they leave, but very often, they lay around in sneaky wait, ready at any time to pounce on the unsuspecting. Very good!!!! xoxoxoxoxo Sammie and Avalon
BOL! That was the best war against floof I have ever witnessed! Your floof looks as scary as mine, but mine never got a Johnson. Yet. Poor little Johnson.
My human wants to know if that army can be deployed to my house for about a week to battle my floofs. ;->
Sam, your humans are too funny. We see some of those things around here in the little bipeds' toy boxes, and Lightning gets into trouble all the time for chewing them.
Hysterical! Oh my! If I saw eyes sprouting on the piles of fluff on the floor, I'd fall on the floor myself! And there sure is a lot of it around here!
mol mol mol this is absolutely hilarious and such a creative post. mom says it reminds her of "It" on the Addams Family TV show...way back in the Dark ages. Your peeps might be too young to remember it. HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
