Lazy Weekend

I think the heat is really getting to us - we had a long list of things to to, but did very few of them. Even the boys are tired of it, and we are still having another week of over 100 degree days!

A Musical Interlude

I made a dog!

Yesterday, Sam and I spent part of our day reorganizing the craft room. While doing so, I came across supplies I had bought to try my hand at needle felting. I grabbed a couple of needles and some wool and made a dog.


At first, when Aaron saw it half way done, he assumed I was using the fluff I'd brushed off of the Golden's...


I'm rather proud of it, although I realize it needs a little tweaking. I'm looking forward to creating my next one!


I think Sam just likes to be in the craft room with me.

Where you going, Mom?

We interrupt your normally scheduled program...

Well, since our normally scheduled day was interrupted by car issues, Sam and I decided to work on a photo project that is very nearly overdue. Sam has the honor of being featured in a special newspaper, along with an article I wrote and a photo of Sam. This isn't the photo, but this is one from the set we took today. Once the article is approved, I'll post it here for all of you to read.


Of course, Aaron and I worry that all this attention goes to Sam's head.

With all this attention on Sam, you might be wondering what Monty is up to. Well, he finds the whole photo shoot process rather tiring.


...and has taken to amusing himself in the yard. I'd like to point out the leak is in the middle of the hose...

The Pumpkin Patch

Hello, everyone! Sam has been busy helping me in the craft room today! I am ready for cooler weather to move in, and have been trying to focus my thoughts on Fall and the upcoming holidays! What do you think of my little necklace?

My pumpkins are made of polymer clay and each is hand-painted. Just like the real thing, no two are alike!

Can I eat them?


No, Monty... In fact, I don't recommend them for dogs or small children. Sam was nice enough to model for me, but he definitely doesn't get to keep it!


The first of my fall pumpkins should be in my store this week!

Saturday Sam

Sam here. Sam at wits end. Sam firing entire staff. Now hiring.

Why Sam firing staff? Not updating blog, not taking pictures, giving Sam bath... the list goes on. Sam has to do his own work! So, Sam go through pictures and pick a couple to show you.

Lastly, we have been helping Mom and Dad feed the horses. Monty is learning to be farm dog. Sam already farm dog. Mom says we get more pictures, but here is Monty inspecting hay.
