Aaron and I had the chance today to stop in and watch an agility competition going on this weekend.  We  didn't take the boys along (don't tell them!) but really enjoyed watching the dogs do their stuff!

This boxer was so happy he jumped into his Mom's arms!

First Flat-coated Retriever I've seen!

Jack?  Is that you?

Look at that face!

I found the perfect place to take pictures.

I hope I get a picture of Sam or Monty jumping thru the tire one day!

We saw one Sibe there too!
...and he saw us!  I think he knew the paw-parazzi was watching him!

...and a happy Sprollie!
We couldn't stay too long, but we really did enjoy ourselves!  I can't wait to try this with our boys!

  1. Take me, take me!!! :)

  2. Great pics! I really love that first one of the boxer! LOL!

  3. Our Rose Bud took agility classes a while back and says they were a lot of fun. Mom thinks maybe she and I will do some in the Fall. It's great bonding and exercising time for dog and human!!

Boondocks & The Love Shack Pack

  4. I've taken Honey to watch agility competitions and she's very interested in all the goings on. However, when I try to do agility moves with obstacles around the neighborhood she's not so thrilled.

I think she just likes watching all the other dogs working so hard.

BTW, loved the dog tire shots. They were terrific!

  5. I love watching agility!! I also love what's called 'synchronized obedience' that is not nearly as popular, but is also great fun to watch and be inspired by!

I hope you're continuing to enjoy the weekend!!

  6. The smiles on all the dogs' faces really says it all, doesn't it? Thanks for sharing!

  7. I am impressed with those action pics! Looke like a great day!

  8. Wonderful pictures. MOM loved all their happy faces.

  9. Oh my! These pictures are terrific!!! I bet my Chloe would love agility!!

  10. Great pics!!! This is something Mom would love to do, but with her bones, she says she just can't take a chance. She is hoping maybe the oldest grandbiped will do it one day.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning

  11. This post is such a treat! I'm definitely going to go to the next agility competition in Asheville. That boxer photograph is priceless.

  12. Our Mama would like us to do agility... but whenever we've had the chance to try it, we've just stood there and looked at the equipment and then backed away slowly! We are more "wrestle in the kitchen and snuggle on the couch" kinds of dogs!

  13. Yep, that was me. But don't tell the tall guy I snuck off without him :)

  14. Sure you had a great time there!
    Happy weekend!
    Kisses and hugs

  15. What great shots! The pups are all smiling to have their pictures taken!

    Love ya lots
    Maggie and Mitch

  16. That does look like a lot of fun :) Great photos you took! :D

    Waggin at ya,

  17. Those happy faces say it all!
    Big Nose Pokes
    The Thugletsx

  18. Ha roo roo roo! A Sibe posing for the paparazzi!
That looks like a blast. I promise not to tell Sam and Monty -- we don't want them to have hurt feelings!
    Play bows,

  19. Wow! That looks like great fun! I think I need to talk to my person and go to the "city' to scope this activity out first paw!

Great pictures! You sure did have great seats!

    Bark at ya later Sam!

  20. I love the pictures!

The sibe looking at you was my favorite. Layla likes to play to the crowd too lol.

  21. Lovely action pictures! All the dogs look like they were really enjoying themselves! :-)

  22. Woof! Woof! Happy New Year! We are back from our longggg Holiday break.

  23. Great pictures! We have never watched agility before, but the dogs really seem to enjoy it.

  24. Cool pictures! We met a flat coated retriever in a dog event. They are very beautiful.

  25. I love your action photos. Your pups will love agility. My K loved it... we have a homemade course behind our house. She's not allowed to do it anymore but we're keeping the course anyway. My neighbor is going to start using it with her puppy. That'll be fun!

  26. I agree with someone who said that this post is a treat! Yes it certainly is. I loved seeing all the pictures of all the happy doggies. Thanks.

  27. I LOVE watching doggies jump through rings and over stuffs! :)

    Woofs & hugs, <3

    ~Bailey (Yep, I'm a girl!)

  29. I just love the picture of the boxer in his hoomans arms! That's adorable and totally a boxer move!

  30. Oh my gosh this looks so fun! What skilled and talented pups! I love seeing all the action shots of them jumping through the hoops... too cool! Great photography skills too! :)
