Monty Monday - Oops!

Hey Monty, why are you hiding under there?

See what?

The couch. You were gone, and I was here alone, and the thunder and lightning and wind and tree branches hitting the house and I…I guess I panicked.

Well Monty.  It’s not the first time this has happened, is it? But that time everything came out all right, didn’t it? So don’t worry about it, we’ll fix this one the same way.

You mean it, It’s OK? And I get to come with you anyway?

Our first week!

If you are following us on Facebook, you will know that Harlow and I made it safely to Grand Teton National Park.  We are settled into a little apartment on Colter Bay, and I think our first week here has been a success.

The drive up was beautiful.  Open land, ranches, mountains - I think it was as scenic as this park is!

Exploring with the Princess.

Our first night here we were handed a can of bear spray with the warning "don't walk without it!".  Despite our worries, Harlow and I have logged in nearly 20 miles of walking and exploring.  We both keep a sharp eye out for any thing that might want to eat a Princess and her da Momma.

We've also spent some time exploring our little community of Colter Bay, as well as the neighboring Jackson Lodge area - we came across this gem!

Harlow has also spent some time establishing the northern post of the Turtle Defense Squad.  This one is called the Northern Squirrel Defense League.  She has been diligently keeping an eye out for invading squirrels.

I'm hoping to do some more exploring this weekend, as well as a visit to neighboring Bridger-Teton National Forest.  It should be fun!

Monty Monday

In order to keep you up to date with what is going on in Arizona with Aaron and Monty, we are going to start a weekly "Monty Monday" (or "Monday Monty"? - I can't decide!) post.  This week, we start are starting off with a rather photo of Monty and one of his blankets.  Without Harlow, he can do some serious cuddling.  Even his beloved Wendella may be able to make a few appearances!

We have a winner!

Our friend, Finn, won our "Guess where we are going" contest!  Things have been kind of crazy while we try to prep for our trip and we are finally going to share our destination!  Harlow and I are heading up to Grand Teton National Park to work for two months.  Well, I'm working - Harlow is going on vacation.  (...and yes, I have studied the bear safety tips!)  If you remember, I traveled to this park before.  I am excited to have more time to explore the park and surrounding area.

I had reached out to chewy.com to find a special prize for our contest.  Sydney, our contact at the company, was kind enough to put together a prize box for us!  She included treats and toys - our pups are wishing we'd keep it!

Harlow and I leave tomorrow (Sunday, May 31st) for Wyoming.  We will be keeping the blog updated with our adventures up north, while Aaron and Monty will be hosting a "Monday Monty" post.  Of course, you can also follow our adventures on Facebook by clicking either link on the sidebar (Harlow's page or mine).

The Mystery Continues....

So today we present Clue #4 on our "Guess My Location" contest.  We've had some good guesses and even had our very own "Thelma and Louise" style movie poster created by our good friend Leigh!  Thank you!  Although, I would like to point out - we aren't on the run from anyone!

I thought today we would do a little recap of where we are.  You have ten more days to guess just where Harlow and I are heading - we will announce our location on May 22nd.  To help out, here are the clues:
