Meet our new friend, Fenway Belle!

As you all know, Golden Retrievers are my passion.  So when I met a new friend on Facebook and learned that this sweet little girl was fighting cancer and needed a little help, I asked her people if I could share her on our blog.  They said yes!

I would like to introduce you to the impossibly sweet, Fenway Belle!
All together now - SQUEEEEEE!
Per Fenway's page:

My name is Fenway Belle! I was diagnosed at 9 weeks old with a mast cell tumor that turned out to be an aggressive high grade 2. I had the tumor removed at 11 weeks old and am now undergoing oral chemotherapy treatment with a drug called Kinavet that I will have to take for at least 6 months. I know I have had hundreds of people praying for me because I don't feel sick at all! I feel just like a normal, healthy puppy! My mommy and daddy found out this week that my pet insurance will not cover anything related to my cancer because they are calling it a pre-existing condition! So we are asking for your help for my medical bills so I have the best chance to beat this cancer thing! Thank you all so much for all you prayers and support! Puppy kisses to you all!

If you would like to help Fenway fight this disease, Fenway's folks have provided a couple of ways to do so!

First of all, they have made these adorable shirts available through Booster!  Get yours now - they are only available for another two days!  (...and yes, we purchased one!)

Additionally, a GoFundMe page has been set up.  Please click here to donate directly to her cause.
Seriously - too cute!
If you remember, our Angel Sam was diagnosed with cancer at 9 months.  He was able to beat his cancer and we know that with a little bit of help, Fenway Belle will be able to beat hers.

She's lucky that she has a family that is giving her every chance imaginable!
Fenway Belle and her awesome family!
Please share Fenway Belle's story!    She really is #toocuteforcancer

Chewy.com review - Blue Buffalo Halloween Boo Bars

We decided to get a jump start on the holidays here at How Sam Sees It, by reviewing Blue Buffalo's Halloween Boo Bars, offered to us from Chewy.com.  ...and yes, we are seriously ready for summer to be over!

Of course, the pups are well trained - they know that when a chewy.com box arrives, there is something yummy in there!
Dese for us, right da Momma?
I have to tell you, when I opened the bag, I almost didn't want to share.  They smelled that good!
Pumpkin and cinnamon - cookies!
I noticed their little quote at the top as I was opening the bag.
How true is this?
Harlow couldn't wait for hers....  (On a side note, the treats are crumbly/soft enough to break into smaller pieces!)
I iz good puppy, da Momma.  Can da Harlow have two?
Monty was a little more cautious.  He still remembers the time I slipped him a bit of broccoli...
Broccoli?
Not broccoli!
If you are looking for something fun, corn and wheat free, and made in America, these delicious little treats are just the thing.  They will definitely get you in the holiday spirit!
Boo!
Thank you, chew.com for letting us review this great product.  Our pups give it 8 paws up!

The bored dog of Summer....

Summer in Arizona is no fun if you are an adventure loving pup.  We've reached the stage where the only way we can have fun is to drive north.  ...and we will admit - it's too hot to do even that.

While Monty is content to laze around the house during the day, Harlow lets us know repeatedly that she is bored.

It starts with a sad stare...
So bored...
Which eventually she adds little sighs too....
Sigh...
...and insanely uncomfortable poses...
Ouch!
....and the teeth!  Have I mentioned she knows how to use the teeth?
My heart is breaking!!!
...followed by a full out "Da-Momma-I-iz-suffering" gaze...
...and yes, I'm looking up real estate in Alaska as we speak!  ;)

Happy Birthday Harlow!

Our little Princess turned three yesterday, and of course we couldn't let it slip by without having a little bit of a celebration for her.  Of course we started off with pictures...
Both pups....

...and a royal portrait in front of the castle.
There was also cake.  I tried an egg recipe in the oven, and while it didn't quite come out as promised, I think the pups were still quite happy with it.  I added a smear of sour cream to the top - something that Harlow is crazy for!
How cute are these crown and heart candles?
Both pups loved it!
Nom nom nom....
Nom nom nom....
...and of course, what birthday would be complete without toys?
I love their expressions!
The pups did some mad wrestling with their new toys, and later on, I caught the Princess taking a rest with hers...
Happy Birthday, sweet girl!
