Dis my rarely seen "Sad Face"... |
They kept her for the day, and when I picked her up in the evening, Harlow was sporting a rather large bandage. Since she is leaving it alone for the most part, I've put a sock over it to keep her from nibbling on the ends of the tape. This is also keeping her out of a cone collar.
The smile returns! |

Hi Harlow!! I had a big boot, too when the vet stole my toe! I loved it. Mom called me Bootsie or Kinkey Boots. Milk it for all it;s worth. Oh, and sorry you broke your toe :-(
ReplyDelete-Bart
She is looking happier in the big boot photos. Joey had to be in a cast for quite a while and yes, it was hard to keep him quiet. I feel for you. I hope she heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteDid you say "stinky"?!?! I'm in! I must have my mom find some for us!
ReplyDeleteWe sure hope your healing process goes well, Harlow. I suggest snuggling up to your mama and watching some TV!!!
Yours sincerely,
Maggie T.
Go for it Monty, you might get there quicker than Harlow at the moment. Aw, Harlow, how did you do that ?

Crikey .... you sure did a good job on that toe, aye, Harlow? That's a BAD break. That's quite the bandage you got goin' there. Looks like you're hiding one of your tennis balls in it. It's good to see you smilin' again. You did like awful sad in that first pic, aye??
ReplyDeletePoor Harlow! POTP she heals up well and quickly.
ReplyDeleteDM
Paws and fingers crossed here. Harlow does seem to be in a better place with the toe fracture put back in place and held with the bandage.
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference a bandage can make:) So good to see Harlow's pretty smile. Hope the bone mends well and quickly.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

I'm actually surprised that happy Harlow has the self control to leave her bandage alone. Awesome. And I bet they both adore those treats. Paws are crossed here that the healing time is short. She's so young that I bet it will be!
ReplyDeleteYup, the salmon ones are very stinky. That's the boys "After Photo Shoot" treat. They love them.
ReplyDeleteAw poor Harlow! She's a good girl to leave the bandage alone and she looks so much happier after her day at the vet.
ReplyDeletePoor Harlow. But it's good to see her smile back. The vet must have done a great job setting that toe.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Poor Harlow. IT looks like she's being a good sport about it though. I hope time goes by quickly and that she heals well.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, how DO you keep a dog off her paw for weeks on end? Amazing she is leaving that huge paw bandage alone. And very sweet that she loves paw massages! I thought Fozzie was the only one :)
ReplyDeleteHarlow you look so happy now. Is Monty showing you any sympathy at all?
