Smooches! January chewy.com Review

For this months chewy.com review, we decided to try Smooches, from The Honest Kitchen.  We've been hearing all kinds of good things about The Honest Kitchen from fellow bloggers and have been wanting to try their products for some time.

Wait, what?  It looks like the box is empty!
Something is wrong here!
Okay, just kidding...  They arrived on Friday and we opened the box for the pups.
You had me worried!
These looked suspiciously (according to Harlow) healthy, their ingredients only being barely flour, chicken, molasses, water, eggs, organic coconut oil, cranberries and Parmesan cheese.  They only have 2.3 calories per smooch, which is just perfect - our Princess has been filling her puppy suit a little too well these days!
Be nice, da Momma.
More importantly, they are made in the USA!  Another thing I really like is there is a made on date (June 2014) on the box, as well as a use by date (June 2015).

The pieces are roughly the size of a quarter and very hard to break.  You wouldn't be able to crumble these down into smaller pieces.
Seriously loaded with cranberries too!
Here is the segment of our reviews where we try to catch our pups making funny faces as they sample the products...
He's hard to catch!
Derp!
All in all, we like this product due to its healthy ingredients, and the pups like the taste and texture.  We would definitely order this again.

  2. We love Smooches! Mom gives me one before bed each night. The crunchy treat kind and the kissy on the nose kind too. ☺

  3. We tried these a while ago and loved them too! We've got one of the dogs needing to drop a couple pounds so I love the low calorie count in these. I need to pick some more up!
I love the funny faces of your dogs when trying the treats!

  9. We'll give these a try. Lucy is loving the freeze-dried sweet potato treats which she thinks are almost as tasty as apples.

  16. Wow! We never would have thought cranberries taste good. The ones we sample around Thanksgiving time taste terrible! I guess it's all in the preparation.

I, too, am very concerned by empty food boxes. I make the super sad face!

  20. I'm always looking for new treats, especially made in the US and grain free. And I like to keep the calories low so for me, I would like them to be breakable, BUT if they're being used sparingly...:-)

  21. We haven't tried these treats from The Honest Kitchen, but Barley LOVES their beams, which are catfish skins that stink to high heaven. We'll have to be on the lookout for these next time we need to restock our treat supplies!
