We haven't seen that either... or read it. We don't read much. Most of Mom's reads are picture books for her school kiddos... and we HATE when she reads aloud to us! lol!! ~Milly and Shelby
Wishing you a wonderful new year. May 2011 be a year filled with happiness, joy, love, companionship, health and fulfillment. Thank you for your friendship. You are a great blogging buddy!
I have to share a funny story. When I was doing my student-teaching many years ago, I decided to read Where The Red Fern Grows to my class of third graders. I read a chapter each day right after lunch, as a transition period. The kids loved it and I was enjoying it until the day I read the chapter...well, you know (I don't want to spoil for anyone who doesn't know)... I was sobbing in front of a group of sobbing third graders! It was a hoot! Now pass a kleenex please!
Thanks for the Christmas card and Happy New Year, ~K and The Pups
Major leakage at the end of that movie. Haven't seen the remake yet. Old Yeller, Fluke, Incredible Journey are other sad dog movies that never fail to make us leak.
Happy New Year to you all. Hope to be down in the desert soon. The Phoenix Open is beckoning.
We have never seen the movie version, but the Momster says it is an awesome book.

I LOVE that book! It's one of the extreme few that make me cry, and have since the first time I read it when I was little.
ReplyDeleteI recently saw a remake movie, with Dave Matthews (the musician) as the boy's father. It's one of my favorite stories EVER.
Hey Sam...
ReplyDeleteWe'll have to look out for it!

Oops, I meant Homeward Bound instead of Incredible Journey (which is not bad either).
