    I just read about Sam - have your vet check his B12 level - because what you are describing are all signs of this deficiency ... here is the link to the Facebook reference document to read more: https://www.facebook.com/groups/301577663718/doc/10151466912333719/

    Also - I know they make 'booties' for dogs that have rubber pads on the bottom of the socks which will help dogs from slipping ...
