Saturday Drive

Aaron and I decided to take a drive yesterday.  I wanted to get out of the valley and see something green, and it's been a while since we had a chance to do something like that.  We didn't have much of a destination in mind, we just headed north...

We stopped at Green Valley Park in Payson to let the pups stretch their legs.  The park is so green - something that is nice to see after seeing nothing but hot, dry desert...
Disclaimer:  There are no pups in this picture...  (Just a trio of ducks!)
I think both pups were happy to feel some cool grass under their paws.  Or in Monty's case, under his butt feathers.
Hehe...  I'm sitting in duck poop...
Harlow couldn't get enough of snootering the grass, and we were constantly falling behind Aaron and Monty.
Dad!  Wait for me!
Of course, I did a bunch of stops to take "artistic" pictures...  BOL!
I call this "Grackles at High Noon".
Harlow also spent some of her time watching ducks...
Ducks, Momma!
Both of our pups think they should be allowed in every building - as they should be!  While waiting for Aaron in the shade, they both stared intently at this door waiting for me to open it for them.
Mom, door?  Open?
Have a great Sunday!

  1. Thanks SO much fur sharing your GReat drive and adventure!

Woo should have gone to Prescott to visit Auntie Di, Jim, and Khousin Ab -

They went up there fur the weekend!

  2. Green grass, ducks, and time well spent with family. Doesn't get better than that... well if you could have gone in through those doors. Butt still glad you all had a wonderful time together.

  3. Closed doors are an insult! Did you see the post on FB/DHFU about the horse at the fridge, Christine?

  4. I remember how much I craved green too! It was always nice to get to see real trees again!

  5. sometimes you just need sunshine and green to make you feel so much better.

  6. Road trips are so fun. Glad you doggies got to snooter around in some green grass and YES ALL buildings should welcome dogs!

  7. So glad you got out and about! It is pretty darn hot here - if you are up for company on your next adventure, we'd be open to doing a caravan!

  8. Thankfully we have some water around us within driving distance for walks - otherwise our world is pretty brown, too! Your park is beautiful!

  15. Nothing like green grass between your paws. I've never sat in duck poo but what the heck if it's good enough for Monty then it's good enough for me.
