This morning we decided to bring Monty and Sam to my Mom's house. It has been a long hot summer and the boys haven't gone on many adventures! We wanted to also give Monty a chance to chase the bubbles we got in our
Bark Box - our yard is a little bit small for his amazing jumping ability.
When we got there, we whipped out the bubbles, thinking Monty would go wild with excitement. At our house he goes crazy when we blow them, but our yard is too small for him to really enjoy himself.
|
Hmmm... Bubbles... Not right now, Dad. |
Monty, however, decided that the shadows on the ground were more interesting than his bubbles. After one half-hearted jump, he ignored them completely.
If you noticed in the picture above, we have Monty on a very long leash. Monty reeeeeeaaaalllly likes the horses, but the horses don't like Monty. Since I'm not capable of diving in and saving Monty right now, we decided to be safe. We did bring him around to visit with the horses, but he acted like he didn't even notice them.
Visiting our big mare, Isabel...
|
Shadows.... |
...and our stallion, Baron.
|
Baron was all for a little butt sniffing, but Monty just ignored him. |
Monty enjoyed visiting everything at my Mom's place. There are so many things to smell, not at all like at our house.
|
Taking a walk with Dad |
We did try to give Monty a ride in Fritzi, my Mom's golf cart. Monty was fine with it but insisted he operate the peddles...
|
Which one makes this thing go faster? |
And Sam? Sam was just happy poking around and visiting all the things he remembers as a pup. He grew up here and remembers what it is like to be a farm dog.
|
Hurry up, Dad, we've got ponies to feed! |
We hope you all have a great weekend!
What fun! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI Hope you guys have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Homer
That looks like a great place to spend a weekend
ReplyDeleteLove and licks, Winnie
What a beautiful place to go! Hey Monty! What were those shadows doing?!? They must have been some kind of interesting!
ReplyDeletePlay bows,
Zim
We would love to go for a ride in a golf cart. It sure looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
What a wonderful place for exploring. I wish I could get Georgia to a farm, I'd love for her to meet some other animals. There are some pet friendly ones here, but I'm afraid she may do something bad with the chickens, ducks, sheep, cows, horses and either get kicked or *uhm* shot.
ReplyDeleteHow funny that Monty wasn't interested in chasing bubbles but instead to chase shadows and that he didn't care to be neighborly with the horses today! I love that Monty decided to lie down on the pedals of the golf cart rather than just sit up and go for a ride "normally"! Monty sure is a handsome fella but he is full of surprises!
ReplyDeleteWe wish we had an Oma's farm to visit - that looks like a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteHope your foot is doing better.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
I would SO need one of those leashes -

what a fun place to visit!!! my mom's grampa had a farm and she used to love to visit. I'm a city dog so I don't know much about farms, but they sound like really fun places!
ReplyDeleteyour pal,

Have a wonderful Sunday with lots of sun and fun.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Oh fun for all. Shadows, bubbles... and laser lights?
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a great time and met some cool new friends.
ReplyDeleteLooks like beautiful country. I'm sure they had a great time.
ReplyDeleteHi Sam!
ReplyDeleteYour visit to your Grandmother's house looked like fun. And horses! We have never seen a horse - llamas and alpacas, we got lots of them but our Mum has never taken us to see a horse! You rock!
Love, Dozer and Cooper
Do you think Monty was trying to figure out how to sit in those shadows so he could get some shade?
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a lovely weekend visit.
Woozers, a real farm! We think it would be a blast to go visit your Oma!
ReplyDeletejack & moo
What an exciting adventure! Looks like everyone had a grand time.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh about the sniffing around and not interested in bubbles and horses ... my Derby is a big-time sniffer and I get a 'sniff-over' every time I go out without him. And ... what a farm - looks like a lot of work ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best for a great weekend,
Katie
